Boys & Girls Clubs of the Greater Santiam Programs & Athletics offers basketball, volleyball, flag football, youth sports, after-school programs, summer camps, preschool, and teen centers. The program includes year-round athletics opportunities and programs for pre-k through 8th grade. The organization was formed in 2009 when the Lebanon Boys & Girls Club and the Sweet Home Boys & Girls Club merged, and it is approaching its 50th year. It has been described as a trusted place for kids for decades and serves families in Lebanon, Sweet Home, and across Linn County with locally led programs, helping thousands of young people in these communities every year and holding events and fundraisers such as the Ladies Night Out event.
The leadership team includes Chief Executive Officer Casey Humphrey; Director of Operations Shayla Jackola, who earned a B.S. in Business Administration and Organizational Leadership from Oregon State University; Early Childhood Director and Director of Early Childhood Development Lori Romeo; Human Resources Director Melissa Suing; Director of Program Development Brittany Burger; Sweet Home Athletic Director and Sweet Home Athletics Athletic Director Shari Melcher-Smith; Lebanon Athletics Athletic Director Emily Goshow; and Director of Development and Resource Development Director Lisa Mattes. Leadership opportunities at the Club include programs such as Youth of the Year, and the organization lists values that emphasize fun, leadership, passion, partnerships, and teamwork.

I believe the Club exemplifies this effort.”
