Rogue Valley Family YMCA Youth Programs

Rogue Valley Family YMCA Youth Programs are part of the Rogue Valley Family YMCA, a community based non-profit organization. The programs focus on youth development, healthy living, and social responsibility, and follow the YMCA approach of seeking to prevent negative behaviors, promote positive experiences, and provide healthy choices.

The mission of the Rogue Valley Family YMCA is to put Christian principles into practice through programs that build healthy spirit, mind, and body for all. The Rogue Valley Family YMCA is supported by the community through dues, fees, and donations. The organization has a partnership with the YMCA in Hokkaido, Japan and has sent local staff to visit YMCAs in the Czech Republic, England, Guatemala, Japan, Panama, and Taiwan. Staff and teens from the Rogue Valley Family YMCA have attended international conferences in other countries, and most summers the YMCA has staff who come from other countries to help with camp. Local community members host international visitors by having them stay in their homes and help with meals and transportation. Each year the local YMCA contributes to the World Service Campaign that distributes resources to YMCAs in other countries operating in difficult social and economic conditions. Each year in November, YMCAs around the world, including the Rogue Valley Family YMCA, take part in the World YMCA and World YWCA Week of Prayer and World Fellowship, which emphasizes prayer and fellowship.
