Each camper is supplied with a personal pair of full face protective goggles that can be customized and used during camp, and then kept after camp ends.

Splat Action Paintball Park has been operating since 1986 and is described as the Northwest's oldest and largest continually operating paintball field, with over 118 acres and 100+ acres of playable scenario fields that include tree houses, foxholes, bunkers, villages, and more. Splat Action is family owned and operated, plays rain or shine, and notes that about 90% of the woods area has tree cover. The park states that it is Portland’s largest and longest operating outdoor paintball park and the Northwest's largest and longest operating paintball park, and that it has been open every day, rain or shine, for 39 years.

The camp’s mission states that players spend the week learning techniques utilized by professional players such as communication, shooting technique, movement strategy, proper gear maintenance, and teamwork. Staff members are first aid and CPR certified, and every staff member has undergone a vigorous screening process. The leadership information notes that John Vida started Splat Action with a paintball park near Molalla, Oregon.

Parent and player testimonials describe enjoyment of the maps, foxholes, bunkers, tree houses, trenches, cover, barricades, castles, and villages, and mention specific appreciation for staff members named Rod and Shane and the bus driver, as well as the provided mask and t-shirt. Other testimonials describe the environment as friendly, mention long-term visits dating back to 1991, and compare Splat Action favorably to other paintball locations.
