About

Western Oregon University Volleyball Camps offer volleyball training that includes Serving, Passing, Setting, Hitting, Blocking, and Defense. Athletes at these camps receive instruction from Western Oregon University volleyball staff and players. The camps include a Youth Camp, a Team Camp, a Position Breakout Camp, and an Elite/Prospect Camp, each with its own dates and daily session times in July and early August 2026.

• Ages: 8–18 years old
• Schedule: Youth Camp runs July 12–13, 2026 with morning check-in and two sessions each day; Team Camp runs July 22–25, 2026 with daytime and evening sessions for commuter and overnight campers; Position Breakout Camp runs July 26–28, 2026 with afternoon check-in and two sessions each day; Elite/Prospect Camp runs July 30–August 1, 2026 with daytime and evening sessions for commuter and overnight campers.
• Price: Youth Camp $245; Team Camp commuter $400 and overnight $475; Position Breakout Camp $300; Elite/Prospect Camp commuter $375 and overnight $425.

The Youth Camp does not require prior volleyball experience, and participants receive a camp T-shirt and volleyball. A group registration discount is available for the Youth Camp for three or more players from a school, club, or friends group by emailing Coach Kaiao before registering, and a snack schedule will be emailed to overnight campers no later than one week before the camp start date. The Youth Camp is described as designed for those looking to learn and have a fun volleyball experience.

The Team Camp is for high school volleyball teams and student athletes between 8th and 12th grades, with a maximum of 20 teams. It is described as designed for those with prior volleyball experience and the desire to play at the collegiate level, and prior volleyball experience is recommended. Meals are provided for overnight campers only, overnight campers stay in dorms with 24-hour monitoring and key fob access, and commuter campers do not stay overnight, do not receive meals, and are required to bring their own snacks, lunch, and dinner. Teams and campers receive more information about what to bring before the camp start date, and a T-shirt is included with Team Camp registration.

The Position Breakout Camp is for middle and high school volleyball student athletes between 7th and 12th grades. Players sign up and are grouped by similar skills, receive coaching on all skills plus a breakout session on position-specific skills, and work on Serving, Passing, Setting, Hitting, Blocking, and Defense during the all-skills portion. During position breakout time, players go to a court with a coach to fine-tune position-specific skills, and the camp is described as for those with and without prior volleyball experience, with prior experience recommended but not necessary. The camp uses three courts in the main gym, and players can sign up for any position, with coaches designing training for the specific skills they want to work on. A team registration discount is available for Position Breakout Camp for three or more players from a high school, club, or friends group by emailing Coach Kaiao before registering.

The Elite/Prospect ID Camp is described as for athletes with prior volleyball experience and the desire to play at the collegiate level, and prior volleyball experience is recommended. Registration is capped at 60 campers, and meals are provided for overnight campers only. A T-shirt is included with Elite/Prospect Camp registration, and a team registration discount is available for three or more players from a high school, club, or friends group by emailing Coach Kaiao before registering.

For the Youth Camp, a snack schedule will be emailed to overnight campers no later than one week before the camp start date. For the Team Camp and Elite/Prospect Camp, a meal schedule will be emailed to overnight campers no later than one week before the camp start date, and commuters who want to eat on campus are instructed to email Coach Kaiao at [email protected] before registering.
