About
FCA Camps focuses on comprehensive athletic training, spiritual training, and leadership training in a camp environment. The program gives campers time to train and develop more in their sport, build relationships with other coaches and athletes, learn about Jesus and what it means to follow Him, and grow in their faith and in discipleship.
• Ages: 8–18 years old
Since 1954, the Fellowship of Christian Athletes has challenged athletes and coaches to impact the world for Jesus Christ. FCA Camps include many summer multi-sport and sport-specific camps, with six types of camps: Sports Camp, Leadership Camp, Coaches Camp, Power/Youth Sports Camp, Team Camp, and Partnership Camp. Power Camps are for athletes who are typically 8–12 years of age, Leadership Camps develop athletes and coaches to be leaders, Coaches Camps minister, equip and encourage coaches, Team Camps allow teams to come together to compete, and Partnership Camps involve FCA partnering with other organizations. FCA states that camps are a time of “inspiration and perspiration” for athletes and coaches who want to reach their potential through comprehensive athletic, spiritual and leadership training, and that each camper will have the opportunity to experience life change.
FCA’s mission statement says that it provides athletes and coaches the opportunity to reach their God-given potential by offering comprehensive athletic, spiritual and leadership training in a camp environment. FCA reports that it is cultivating Christian principles in local communities nationwide by encouraging, equipping and empowering others to serve as examples and to make a difference. FCA has grown into the largest interdenominational sports ministry in the world, with more than 3,000 staff around the world and reaching over two million people annually on the professional, college, high school, junior high and youth levels.
Parents and athletes have shared that “FCA Camp has been the greatest experience of my life! Anyone who has not gone to FCA Camp is missing out on one great experience,” and “I’m athletically faster in my sport and spiritually stronger with God.”
