• Schedule: Office hours Monday–Thursday 9:00am–2:30pm; Friday by appointment only

Mustard Seed Preschool and Kindergarten has been educating children of the Beaverton, NW Portland, Rock Creek, Tanasbourne, and Bethany communities for over 30 years. The program describes itself as Portland’s premier play-based early learning program focusing on kindergarten readiness and notes that it is rooted in inclusive, research-based curriculum. Its mission states that children learn by building on the knowledge they already have, primarily through play, and that teachers create a rich environment to explore through exciting educational activities.

The program admits students of any race, color, religion, national and ethnic origin and states that it does not discriminate on the basis of race, color, national and ethnic origin in administration of its educational policies, admissions policies, scholarship and loan programs, and other school-administered programs. For the 2026–2027 school year, registration begins January 6, 2026 for current families and January 21, 2026 for new families, and summer camp registration begins on February 21, 2026.
