Prineville Youth Tackle Football offers youth tackle football that includes Mandatory Combine/Skills Days, a preseason Saturday Jamboree, and a season-ending Championship Game featuring the top two teams. Registration includes a game jersey and rental equipment such as football pants, a helmet, and shoulder pads, with any rental equipment not returned at the end of the season resulting in additional charges. Team pictures and optional program hoodies are available for an additional charge.
• Ages: 10–12 years old
• Schedule: Registration closes Monday, July 6th, 2026 at 12:00 PM, with Mandatory Combine/Skills Days on Tuesday, July 7th and Thursday, July 9th; practices begin the week of August 17th, games primarily take place on weekends, and the season runs through October 24th, 2026.
Grade/age divisions are based on the participant’s grade/age as of the first day of practice, and this division is for 5th/6th grade (ages 10–12). Programs that use a draft process will no longer accept special requests for team placement, and referees are paid positions. The program’s mission states that it emphasizes skill development, maximum participation, sportsmanship, teamwork, discipline, and fun while providing a positive and competitive football experience for athletes of all skill levels. Football experience is helpful but not required for volunteer coaches, and volunteer coaches are described as essential to the success of Prineville Youth Football. Program sponsorship opportunities are available for local businesses and community members, and scholarships are available at https://www.ccprd.org/happy-healthy-hearts. Registration requires that all waivers and agreements be completed before a child begins practice, and required forms are sent via email after registration.
