Umpqua Valley Arts – Youth Education Programs offers activities such as poster design, hand building with clay, wheel throwing, printmaking, stamp carving, Valentine’s Day card making, votive candle holder making, glazing, glow painting under black lights, watercolor painting, mixed media art, botanical watercolor painting, needle felting, slab building with clay, felting, ceramics, and slab shaping to create vases, tea trays, planters, and cups. The program also includes After School Art Club, Spring Nature Camp with outdoor observation and creative play, Spring Break Camps, a clay camp called Clean Dirt Fun: Clay Camp held in the Clay Place studio, and a Summer Arts Festival Design Poster contest.

• Schedule: After School Art Club meets on Tuesdays and Thursdays during the afternoon, TEEN CLAY OPEN STUDIO and PRINTMAKING OPEN STUDIO run in multi-week sessions, and Spring Break Camps run Monday–Friday in the mornings.
• Price: After School Art Club ranges from $25–$45 per month; individual workshops and camps range from free to $325.
Umpqua Valley Arts has been active in the Umpqua Valley since 1971 and operates as a 501(c)(3) nonprofit community organization. Its leadership team includes Monica as Executive Director and Noelle as Education Director, with instructors and artists such as Gregory Pierce, Ashley, Megan Perry, Linda Russell, Carolyn Hibbard, and Katie Boehnlein leading specific workshops and classes.
