The organization’s mission is to provide a safe, positive place for school-aged youth to learn and grow through afterschool and summer programming, youth athletics leagues, and teen centers with targeted teen programming. Seven Clubhouses offer after-school and summer programming with a focus on character and leadership, academic success, healthy lifestyles, and education and career development for youth ages 6–18. Youth receive a hot meal every day, access to dental care for uninsured or underinsured youth, and homework help. Athletics programs provide boys and girls of all ages, regardless of their athletic ability, the opportunity to learn new skills and develop self-esteem, teamwork, and leadership skills. Sports programs emphasize fun and full participation for every youth, and coaches and spectators are encouraged to demonstrate good sportsmanship and positive support for all players and officials.

Youth sports are available for grades 1–12. Scholarships are available to support access to sports programs, with limited scholarships covering half of the registration cost per household. Applicants for scholarships must complete a scholarship application, submit annual household income, and include pay stubs or other proof of household income. Thanks to community support, limited scholarships are available, and the Boys & Girls Club is teaming up with SELCO Community Credit Union and other local partners for a Back to School Backpack Giveaway.
