About
Corban Youth Events and Camps offers youth programs in athletics, science, and the arts throughout the year, including Basketball, Soccer, Volleyball, Wrestling, Science Saturdays, Theatre Camp, Holiday Hoops Camp, and a Women’s Soccer Winter ID Camp. Science Saturdays allow students to learn science concepts, engage in actively asking scientific questions, and perform science experiments in a real science lab at Corban University. Theatre Camp provides education in theatre skills, raises students’ appreciation for and understanding of the arts, and provides a platform for students to explore and express their God-given creativity and imagination.

• Schedule: Seasonal and year-round options, including single-day and multi-day sports camps, a four-week Science Saturdays spring session, and a two-week Theatre Camp
Science Saturdays classes are taught by undergraduate students at Corban University under the direction of Corban faculty. The Women’s Soccer Winter ID Camp is scheduled for December 29, 2025, from 9:00 a.m. to 12:00 p.m., and Holiday Hoops Camp runs December 29–30, 2025, from 2:00 p.m. to 5:00 p.m. The Science Saturdays spring session runs from February 21 to March 14, 2026, with sessions on Saturday mornings from 9:30 to 11:30 a.m., and Theatre Camp runs July 20 to August 1, 2026, as a two-week theatre camp. Summer youth sports camps are offered for elementary through high school students to build their skills and have fun with a favorite sport.
Corban University was established in 1935 and is a four-year private, independent Christian university with a Baptist heritage. Corban’s 205-acre campus is located on a forested hillside in Salem, Oregon’s capital city. John Mark Yeats, Ph.D., has served as Corban’s 11th president since July 1, 2023. Corban’s mission is to educate Jesus Christ, to foster a transformative learning culture where a sustainable biblical worldview takes shape, to build a vibrant Christian community that promotes worship, creative expression, and activities reflecting God’s character, and to cultivate a life of stewardship and service toward God, humanity, and creation.
Corban University is ranked among the best universities in the West by U.S. News & World Report, is tied for the highest grade among Oregon colleges by What Will They Learn, and is continuously named an NAIA Champions of Character Five-Star Institution. It is accredited by the Northwest Commission on Colleges and Universities (NWCCU), the Council for Accreditation of Counseling and Related Educational Programs (CACREP), and the Association for Advancing Quality in Educator Preparation (AAQEP). Corban University students partner with the Keizer Police Department for a full media revamp. One student shared, “This is a school that’s going to challenge you in ways that you cannot imagine right now. If you’re willing to take the risk and be challenged, take it.
