The Great Oregon Steam-Up Youth Activities program includes miniature train rides, historic full-size trolley rides, a Youth Passport hunt with pins to collect, panning for gold, and kids pedal tractor pulling. Children can see blacksmith demonstrations, flour milling demonstrations, logging-skills demonstrations, a sawmill in operation, and demonstrations of old farming methods including threshing, along with machinery demos, fire apparatus demos, and traditional tractor pulling. Families can also tour 14 different museums including the model railroad museum and Brooks Depot Museum, view model railroad and LEGO displays, watch the Parade of Power featuring vintage tractors, trucks, steam traction engines, fire engines, construction equipment, logging equipment, and automobiles, and visit the Country Store, swap meet and flea market, food vendors, early electricity exhibit, miniature farm display, and Operation Lifesaver.

• Schedule: The Great Oregon Steam-Up 2026 runs July 25–26 and August 1–2, 2026, with grounds open 7:00 a.m.–6:00 p.m.; museums open 9:00 a.m.–4:30 p.m.; Youth Passport 9:00 a.m.–4:00 p.m.; miniature train and trolley rides 10:00 a.m.–4:00 p.m.; and the Parade of Power at 1:30 p.m. each event day.
• Price: $17 Adults; $12 Youth (age 13 to 17); free for kids 12 and under; $5 parking fee per vehicle; admission is $3 off for seniors 65 and older on Sunday, August 2, 2026.
The Great Oregon Steam-Up is celebrating 56 years and will hold its 56th annual event in 2026, and Powerland Heritage Park is also celebrating 56 years of The Great Oregon Steam-Up. The event has been voted “Best Annual Event” in the Best of the Willamette Valley Awards for 2022, 2023, 2024, and 2025, and has been voted “Best Annual Event” by families for four years straight in these awards. Powerland Heritage Park captured “Best Place to Volunteer” at the Best of the Willamette Valley Awards for 2025, and the festival is an official “Oregon Heritage Tradition.” Powerland Heritage Park, through the Antique Powerland Museum Association, is an affiliate of the Oregon Historical Society, and The Great Oregon Steam-Up includes Armed Service Member Appreciation with free admission for current and prior Military and National Guard members who show their Military I.D. on August 1 and 2, with a military vehicle display the second weekend by the Military Vehicle Collectors Club of Oregon. Church services are held Sunday mornings at 8:00 a.m. in the Music Hall during the event. All parking fees collected are used to construct new restrooms and showers at Powerland Heritage Park.
