About
Camp Koinonia is a Christian summer camp that focuses on worship, fellowship, and meditation surrounded by God's creation. The camp setting reflects its mission as a place where the name of Jesus is openly honored, as described by visiting guests. Testimonials describe experiences of spiritual renewal and a strong sense of God's presence during time at the camp.
• Price: It was important to the founders that all children have access to an affordable summer camp experience. For that reason, as the cost of other summer camps rise, Camp K remains affordable. Scholarships are also available through area churches.
In 1965, this 15-acre site was gifted to the Independent Christian Churches through the love and vision of Mr. and Mrs. James Stock. The mission of Camp Koinonia is described as a place of worship, fellowship, and meditation surrounded by God's glorious creation. Area churches also support the camp by offering scholarships.
One guest, Alexander M., shared that he appreciated seeing the name JESUS on the sign and described his time at the camp as unforgettable. Another guest, Daniel O., said he used the space to get closer to God and felt that God met him throughout the property and restored what was broken in him. A third guest, Dan S., thanked those who maintain the camp and said the love of God is evident there, calling it a place where weary people can rest, restore, and receive from God’s grace.
