Wasco Recreation and Parks District Summer Camp

Summer Camp is a two-week Summer Camp that is part of the Wasco Recreation and Parks District programs. The program is offered alongside other activities such as youth baseball, youth softball, Little League Baseball, Little League Softball, NFL Flag Football, T-Ball, Coach Pitch, and the Light Up Wasco Christmas Event. Wasco parks include playgrounds, picnic shelters and tables, volleyball courts, basketball courts, soccer fields, softball fields, and walking paths that support these types of activities.


The Wasco Recreation and Parks District states that its mission is to create recreational opportunities for growth and enhancement by developing diverse services and programs that promote citizen involvement and a strong sense of community while striving to increase the social, cultural and physical well-being of residents. Wasco Recreation and Parks District is a Special District operating under Section 5780 of the California State Code. The district relies heavily on the kindness and support of many local businesses and individuals to sponsor its programs and events. Field/diamond and shelter reservations have resumed, and fields/diamonds and shelters that are not reserved for a specific time are available for use on a first come, first served basis, with paid reservations and WRPD programs taking priority over unreserved groups. The Community Center/1202 Hall may be rented for meetings, receptions, baby showers, birthday parties, quinceanera celebrations and more, and there are shelters in Barker Park and Westside Park available for rental.
