About the provider

Westside Dance & Gymnastics Academy started in 1974 as Portland Gymnastics Center and Carla Webber Studio of Dance. In 1984, the business was divided and the dance side was renamed Westside Dance Academy. In 1995, the gymnastics side was bought and renamed Westside Dance & Gymnastics Academy. The program states a mission of providing a safe, fun, positive environment, promoting creativity and fitness, and enriching the lives of students and the community through excellence in education, dance, and gymnastics. It is described as having an award-winning dance program, Xcel Bronze through Diamond teams, USAG Level 3–10 developmental Boys and Girls Artistic Gymnastics competitive teams, and Oregon's first youth Acrobatics & Tumbling team.

Current Westside members are charged an annual $40 family membership fee. Previous members not currently enrolled and participating only in events or camps are charged the non-member rate. Additional same-day registration fee is listed. Snack, lunch, and other bring-list items are mentioned for camps; all campers must be fully potty-trained.
