About
Oregon Coast Dance Center offers classes in Ballet, Tap, Jazz, Hip Hop, Tumbling, Musical Theater, Adult Jazz, Hula, and Contemporary. The program includes a dedicated Tumbling room with a 2" foam floor and a variety of tumbling equipment, along with two dance rooms that have mirrors, barres, and a floating dance floor. The facility also has a spacious lobby with six individual dressing rooms, two family dressing rooms, a large seating area, and a dedicated homework station.
Oregon Coast Dance Center (formerly Patrician School of Dance) was founded in 1975 by Pat Hawkins, and current owner Lisa Greiner purchased the studio in 2013. The leadership team includes Lisa as Owner and Director, Elliana as Front Desk Manager, and instructors Lynda, Paige, and Bonnie. Lisa started her dance career at Patrician School of Dance at the age of six.
Lisa is Tillamook’s only Dance Masters of America (DMA), Acrobatic Arts, and Progressing Ballet Technique certified teacher. She is a Dance Masters of America graduate and active member, an Acrobatic Arts certified instructor, a Progressing Ballet Technique certified instructor, a The Ellové Technique certified instructor, a founding board member of Oregon Dance Education Organization, and a National Dance Education Organization member. Lynda has an AA in Theatrical Jazz Dance.
Oregon Coast Dance Center states that it is committed to being a studio of excellence and providing high quality dance training and discipline in a judgement free and family friendly environment. The program states that through dance, students also learn life skills, discipline, respect, and teamwork, and that it strives to inspire students and prepare them for whatever their next chapter is in life, teaching more than just dance and teaching lessons that last a lifetime.
