Youth Music Project is a nonprofit 501(c)(3) organization that focuses on rock, pop, and country music education and offers sliding-scale tuition assistance for qualifying students. Instrument rental is available for students who qualify, and nearly 40% of enrollments are made possible by a donor-supported tuition assistance fund that provides access to hundreds of children and families each year who otherwise could not afford it. The organization provides music instruction to thousands of children every year through year-round after-school group classes, private lessons, early childhood classes, field trips, partnerships, and summer camps. Its mission is to provide outstanding rock, pop, and country music education for youth by offering tuition assistance, instrument rentals, and state-of-the-art performance opportunities.

Parents and students have shared that they are grateful for the tuition assistance program and the positive energy of the teachers and interns. Testimonials also describe students feeling free to express themselves, enjoying picking their own songs, and developing new skills through one-on-one and group support. Families have expressed that their children have found confidence in their abilities through the program and that they appreciate the staff “so so so much.”
