About

Camp Cooper offers hiking, fishing, and nature-focused activities, along with campfire experiences. The program takes place on a 240-acre property that includes a self-guided nature trail, a waterfall, wild berries, and fishing on Lake Hurl. A Camp Ranger lives on site, and a dedicated volunteer Campmaster crew supports weekend operations.

• Ages: 5–18 years old
• Schedule: Camp Cooper is open for reservations year-round, including most weekends (excluding holidays).

Camp Cooper was acquired in 1932. The Ranger at Camp Cooper is Aaron Yoder. The Cascade Pacific Council of Scouting America, which operates Camp Cooper, serves more than 7,000 kids and teens in 19 counties of northwest Oregon and southwest Washington. Its stated goal is to become the most impactful youth organization in its region, to be known as a force for good, and to build stronger communities and leaders of tomorrow.
