Wildtree Farm Riding Lessons, Training, Shows and Camps

Wildtree Farm Riding Lessons, Training, Shows and Camps offers hunter-jumper riding lessons, individualized horse training, well-organized schooling shows, and fun children's and adult summer camps. Riders can participate in riding in a covered arena, a large outdoor arena, a round pen, on a cross-country course, and along forested trails.

• Ages: 6–18 years old

Trainer Norma Richards leads the program and is a certified instructor for USHJA. Norma has a diverse background in dressage, hunter-jumper, and 3-day eventing, and she was the 1980 Yoncalla Rodeo Queen. The program’s mission statement describes riding in the open air, surrounded by trees and views, with an experienced trainer and other dedicated riders and their horses. Her students have described her lessons and camps as full of laughter, friendship, learning, and a strong love of horses, and they have called her “the best kept secret in the northwest.” One parent notes that Norma’s quiet and unassuming approach encourages the trust and confidence of both horse and rider and that she focuses on improving the relationship between each student and their horse.
