Active Learning Centers offers childcare with a purpose that includes outside playing, swimming, field trips, and Martial Arts classes. Children take part in teacher-led activities and instruction, with no televisions, video games, or screens in the classrooms. The program keeps children’s imaginations active through physical play both indoors and outdoors, with activities that engage their minds and bodies and teach the value of teamwork.

Active Learning Centers provides care from infant to after school care, including an Infant & Toddler program with fine motor skill building, interaction, art projects, and more. The Preschool & Pre-K program covers letters, numbers, colors, and reading through both directed and independent activities, along with a lot of physical activities. Before and After School Care includes transportation, healthy snacks, help with homework, and transportation to and from school. Children are grouped by age, and younger children are not folded into groups with much older children.
The staff includes licensed teachers and professionals with degrees in fields like Health and Human Services, Psychology, and Early Childhood Education, with a high ratio of male teachers for balanced supervision and care. Staff members are dedicated to creating an atmosphere that fosters learning, leadership, and fun, and they respect children’s need for space and independence while helping them appreciate differences in all people. Bethlehem Township will be the newest Active Learning Centers site. The program is Keystone Certified for quality and safety and describes itself as the Lehigh Valley’s premier childcare destination, covering over a 70 mile radius with a location near many families.
