Grace Kids Camp offers a week-long adventure that includes activities such as crafts, singing, swimming, Bible study, games, campfires, stories, hiking, baking, and wilderness survival. Youth in 3rd through 12th grade take part in these activities together at this camp.
• Ages: 8–18 years old
• Schedule: Week-long session typically held around the first week of August
Grace Kids Camp began in August 1995 with the first Grace Kids Camp. The camp is part of Altoona Bible Church’s youth programs, which include Wednesday night Pioneer clubs, junior church, UBU groups, youth retreats, Vacation Bible School, Grace Kids Camp, and a staffed nursery, with a stated focus on nurturing children in God’s word and love. The leadership connected to Altoona Bible Church includes Pastor Henry F. Kulp (founding pastor), Pastor Spooner (interim pastoral duties), Pastor Jon Bekemeyer (Senior Pastor), Pastor Joel McGarvey (Senior Pastor), Pastor Ken Peeble (Interim Pastor; Senior Pastor of Altoona Bible Church), Pastor Stewart W. McClelland (Senior Pastor; interim Pastor), and Pastor Aaron J. Harris (Pastor; Senior Pastor). Parents are instructed to call the church office during early summer to register their child for Grace Kids Camp.
