Camp Calvary offers week-long summer camps that operate as part of a year-round, full camping program for all ages. Camper communication during these weeks includes options to send candy grams, cookies and milk, snack baskets, or a birthday cake for the whole cabin to share from Monday afternoon through Wednesday evening. The camp has a large C-shaped pool built in 1977 and uses facilities such as the Activity Center, the CC Inn, and the CC Lodge.

Each cabin is a short walk to a bathhouse that has 8 toilets and 8 showers on both the boys’ and girls’ sides. The camp also describes itself as sitting on just under 82 acres in the shadow of the Berks Mountains and as having over 90 beautiful acres in the foothills of the Blue Mountains in Berks County.
All full-time staffers are college-aged or older and are fully background checked per Pennsylvania state guidelines. They go through several weeks of training each summer, including counselor training, and are certified in First Aid, CPR, and lifeguarding, as well as certified to run all activities around camp.
The camp provides a packing list that includes a sleeping bag or twin size sheets and blanket and a pillow, casual clothes for outdoor activities, a jacket or sweatshirt for chilly nights, sneakers, flip-flops, sandals, a swim towel and a shower towel, soap, shampoo, conditioner, toothbrush, toothpaste, hair brush, hair ties, deodorant, and other personal or feminine hygiene products. It also lists swimwear guidelines (girls: modest one-piece swimsuit or tankini that overlaps at the waist; guys: swim shorts or board shorts), a Bible, flashlight, bug spray, sunscreen, and spending money for the snackshop, coffee shop, store, and craftshop. Those on special diets must bring their own necessary supplements, and a refrigerator and microwave are available for food preparation. The dress code emphasizes modest, loose-fitting clothing and prohibits yoga pants, tank tops, tight or short shorts, muscle shirts, cut-offs, and bikinis. Items not to bring include cell phones, all electronic devices (including smart watches), magazines, knives, cigarettes or tobacco of any kind, vapes, drugs or alcohol, and fireworks or firearms.
