Juniata Valley YMCA Youth Programs and Summer Camp offers activities that include youth sports programs such as basketball, indoor soccer, gymnastics, judo, jujitsu, karate, volleyball, and pickleball. The program also includes aquatics options like open swim, lap swim, swim lessons, swim teams, aqua fitness activities, parent/child swim, pool parties, and lifeguarding classes and certifications, as well as group fitness, summer day camp, preschool, and Homeschool Swim & Gym.

• Ages: 3–17 years old
• Schedule: Winter and summer hours with daily open times, plus weekly Homeschool Swim & Gym activities from November through March

The Juniata Valley YMCA has a second floor group fitness studio, the only full size pool in the area, and a full wellness center with a weight room and a dedicated cardio room, and it offers time in the gym and the swimming pool for preschool. Winter hours from November through May are Monday through Friday 5:30 a.m. to 9:00 p.m. (pool Monday through Friday 6:00 a.m. to 9:00 p.m.), Saturday 7:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m., and Sunday 1:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m. Summer hours from June through October are Monday through Friday 6:00 a.m. to 9:00 p.m., Saturday 7:00 a.m. to 1:00 p.m., and Sunday 1:00 p.m. to 5:00 p.m.

The Juniata Valley YMCA leadership team includes Executive Director Victoria Searer, Program Director Sarah Boyd, Membership Director Stella Kaufman, and Aquatics Director Megan Becker. The Y has been listening and responding to the community’s most critical social needs for 104 years, and the Y has been strengthening communities for more than 160 years. The mission of the Juniata Valley YMCA is to put Christian principles into practice through programs that build healthy spirit, mind, and body for all. The Juniata Valley YMCA is a non-profit, tax-exempt charitable organization under section 501(c)3 of the Internal Revenue Code and is an inclusive non-profit organization of men, women and children with a focus on youth development, healthy living, and social responsibility.

The Juniata Valley YMCA works side-by-side with neighbors to strengthen the community and is part of an Action Team bringing Memory Cafés to the community. Financial assistance is offered to individuals and families who cannot afford membership, and the first group fitness class is always free. YMCA Preschool provides a preschool experience like no other place in the area can.
