Pickering Grove Park, Route 113 (between Yellow Springs and Pikeland Road), Chester Springs, PA 19425
About
Miss Betty's Day Camp includes time in “Your Tent,” Wood Shop, Art Barn, Clay Barn, the Museum, Theatre, and the Creek. Campers spend time swimming in the cool, clear Pickering Creek, playing in the creek, creating art, enjoying fun and games with friends, and relaxing in the shade.
• Ages: 7–12 years old
• Schedule: Mondays through Fridays, 9am–3pm, in week-long sessions from June 15th–July 24th, 2026 (no camp on Friday July 3; last day is a half day)
Since 1949, Miss Betty's Day Camp has welcomed current 1st through 6th graders as campers and does not accept kindergarten students at this time. Group size is purposely limited so that each child has attention and oversight from staff. The camp’s vision is for a summer where children are free to be their muddy, authentic selves while playing in the creek, creating art and making new friends. The Camp Director is Allegra Churchill, and the Assistant Director is Cathy Bodo. Miss Betty’s Day Camp is grateful to West Pikeland Township for leasing it the Pickering Grove Park and to French And Pickering Creeks Conservation Trust for holding the Easement on the property.
