Girls on the Run Mid State PA offers interactive games, physical activities, arts and crafts, and storytelling as part of its programming. Participants also complete a 5K as a team at the end of the season.

Girls on the Run Mid State PA is led by caring and qualified Girls on the Run coaches. The organization offers fun, evidence-based programs that inspire participants to recognize their inner strength, increase their level of physical activity, imagine their possibilities, and confidently stand up for themselves and others. Since 2011, Girls on the Run Mid State PA has served over 16,000 girls throughout the Mid State. It serves Adams, Bedford, Bradford, Centre, Clinton, Cumberland, Columbia, Dauphin, Franklin, Fulton, Huntingdon, and York county. Girls on the Run is an international movement with more than 2.25 million lives transformed in North America since 1996.
The program includes fun, evidence-based programs that are designed to inspire girls of all abilities to recognize and embrace their inner strength and make meaningful connections with others. Volunteer coaches facilitate lessons that blend physical activity with life skill development, and at the end of the season, the team completes a 5K together, which provides a tangible sense of accomplishment and sets a confident mindset into motion. The Heart & Sole middle school program meets the unique needs of girls of all abilities in 6th–8th grade and considers the whole person – body, brain, heart, spirit and social connection, offering an inclusive place of belonging where girls feel supported and inspired to explore their emotions, cultivate empathy and strengthen their physical and emotional health. Camp GOTR provides a one-of-a-kind opportunity for girls of all abilities to develop self-confidence and learn life skills in a fun, collaborative environment and combines the best of the Girls on the Run program with all the fun of camp.
