Ephrata Recreation Center Youth Programs

Ephrata Recreation Center Youth Programs include activities such as Kids Camp, Early Morning Boot Camp, Women’s Hour of Power, Pickleball, and American Red Cross Lifeguard Certification. The programs use Wellness Punch Cards for Early Morning Boot Camp and Women’s Hour of Power, and Pickleball is included with Rec Membership. The center offers over 100 guaranteed programs serving more than 11,000 participants, with Kids Camp registration open and 2026 Summer Municipal Program registration now open.

• Schedule: Rec Center hours are Monday through Friday 5:00am–9:00pm, Saturday 8:00am–4:00pm, and Sunday 10:00am–3:00pm.

The Ephrata Recreation Center is a 65,000 square foot facility affiliated with Rec Centers of Lancaster County, which has brought together the resources of three local area recreation centers in Lancaster County, PA. It was founded in 1951 as a not-for-profit corporation, first operating for 27 years in an old Armory on Cloister Avenue before moving to its present location in 1978. Its stated mission is to improve the quality of life by providing wholesome, affordable recreation opportunities to the citizens of the Ephrata area.

The Ephrata Rec Center describes its focus as “Family. Fun. Fitness.” and is a non-profit, family fitness center rooted in the community. Funds to construct the center were provided through contributions from citizens, businesses, and charitable foundations throughout the Ephrata area. It is affiliated with Rec Centers of Lancaster County, which includes Ephrata Rec Center, Hempfield Rec Center, and Lititz Rec Center. Silver Sneakers is accepted, and American Red Cross Lifeguard Certification is offered.
