About
Flourtown Summer Day Camp takes place at a three-pool facility where campers use a playground, basketball and tennis courts, Gaga pits, cornhole sets, and horseshoe pits. Campers also have access to a swim team and can take part in a pickleball tournament.
• Ages: 4–13 years old
• Schedule: Social is Saturday Nov 4, 9:00 am–12:30; Intermediate is Sunday Nov 5, 9:00 am–12:00; Advanced is Sunday Nov 5, 1:00 pm–3:00
• Price: $50 donation (Tom Graham Juvenile Diabetes Research Foundation (JDRF) Pickleball Tournament)
The Flourtown Summer Day Camp is described as a traditional summer day camp with educational leadership. The mission of the camp is to give every child a positive experience with lifelong memories through a wide variety of activities in a healthy and safe atmosphere, with a goal of instilling respect for others, honesty, and good sportsmanship. Instructors and teachers direct campers’ activities, and fun and learning are promoted in a non-competitive atmosphere.
FSDC’s staff includes local professional and certified educators, coaches at the collegiate, high school, and youth levels, certified swim instructors and lifeguards, senior and junior counselors, specialty staff, and office personnel, and many staff members are former campers. The Flourtown Summer Day Camp is currently full for the 2026 season, and registration is full for the 2026 summer with a waitlist available for the 2026 day camp only.
The Flourtown Swim Club was established in 1961 as a summer recreation facility, and summer 2025 marks its 65th year providing summer recreation to the community. The facility includes a full menu snack bar, a second floor deck, pool heaters for the main pool, diving well, and baby pool, a Big Slide, an Upper Pool added in 2005, and a new slide added to the Upper Pool in 2012. Community involvement includes the Tom Graham Juvenile Diabetes Research Foundation (JDRF) Pickleball Tournament. One parent testimonial states, “This place is simply the best.” – Dottie Welch.
