Darlington Arts Center is a nonprofit community center for arts education. Its mission statement is that Darlington Arts Center vows to master the art of community as the community masters the arts, and it states a mission of “Every Art for Everyone” through active engagement with its community and making arts education available to everyone, regardless of age, interest, ability, and income. The center offers scholarships for future and current students in all art forms and provides programs for older adults (55+) as part of a creative aging movement. It brings professional artists to the center for galleries, recitals, and concerts and offers online programs for children and adults of all ages and skill levels. Building community through the arts is described as central to its mission.

Darlington Arts Center has existed for over 40 years and is entering its 45th year. The Executive Director is Roberta Johnson. The center receives state arts funding support through a grant from the Pennsylvania Council on the Arts, which is funded by the Commonwealth of Pennsylvania and the National Endowment for the Arts, a federal agency.

Darlington Arts Center has a long-standing tradition of providing arts instruction to schools and communities that need supplemental arts programming. It provides outreach programs to children with special needs and economically disadvantaged youth living in the urban areas of Chester and West Chester. It works with community partners to provide arts appreciation and activities off campus throughout the year and brings the opportunity of the arts to underserved populations through outreach programming.
