About

The Goddard School offers early childhood education in classrooms and outdoor environments that use play-based learning. Inquiry and guided play are at the heart of learning, supported by the Wonder of Learning education program and 52 weeks of lessons tailored to each child’s individual interests and questions. Programs are available for infants through Kindergarten and use a whole-child approach that includes academic, social, emotional, and physical development.

• Ages: 0–6 years old

The Goddard School is nationally accredited by Cognia. All Goddard Schools are independently owned and operated and are supported by an Educational Advisory Board made up of early childhood education and development leaders. Teachers are described as highly skilled experts who are trained in early childhood education and development, and the program emphasizes warm, experienced, and consistent teachers in safe classrooms and rich, purposefully designed classroom and outdoor environments. The mission of The Goddard School is to be the nation’s leader in premier early childhood education dedicated to nurturing the extraordinary in every child. Goddard School owners have strong connections to the communities they serve and are described as deeply invested in the growth and success of each child, contributing to a community families trust. The leadership team includes Dr. Lauren Loquasto, Chief Academic Officer, and Mary-Alice Moore, President of Highlights for Children. One parent from Raleigh, NC, reports feeling that their children are safe and loved at the school and that their pre-K child is prepared for kindergarten.
