Sunny Day Camp is a one-day event that includes demonstrations by the police K9 Unit, Bomb Squad, and SERT Team. Participants see a static display of a police helicopter and other emergency vehicles, take part in games with music from a DJ, and the day ends with a formal graduation ceremony. Lunch, snacks, and a Sunny Day T-shirt are included for participants.

Sunny Day Camp was created in 2016 as the vision of Pennsylvania State Trooper Lieutenant Samantha Minnucci. The mission is to promote good relations between police and children/adults of special needs and to make sure no one is left out of learning about the law-enforcement agencies that serve their community. Troopers and other law enforcement professionals serve as counselors and donate their off-duty time, and the camp is funded strictly by donations from individuals and businesses, separate from donations that go toward Camp Cadet. Sunny Day Camp is expanding to many areas of Pennsylvania.
