About

Camp Lindenmere offers over 50 activities, including sports, STEM projects at the Lindenmere Innovation Center, flying trapeze and circus, gymnastics, performing arts, rock climbing, horseback riding, outdoor adventure and Ninja Warrior, media and photography, and a dedicated Arts and Crafts Center. Campers also take part in waterfront activities, canteen and ice cream socials, off-camp trips, special events and traditions, and may join programs such as the Explorer Program and Teen Leadership Training.

• Ages: 7–16 years old
• Schedule: A sample day runs from 8:05 AM wake up to evening activities and canteen ending with staggered bedtimes around 9:00 PM, with three Major activity periods in the morning and early afternoon and three Minor activity periods later in the day.

Camp Lindenmere uses an All Choice Program in which campers choose all of their activities, selecting three Majors before each session and three Minors each day before breakfast using a Minor Sheet passed around by counselors. Majors are daily, goal-oriented, instructional, and skill-focused activities led by expert department heads, and campers can switch Majors with help from the Programming Team. Minors give campers the chance to explore new activities and try different skills, and this structure is described as helping campers meet others with similar interests and build a strong atmosphere of community.

For the youngest campers, General Counselors are hired based on their nurturing nature and patience, and they guide campers throughout each day and check in regularly to see how they are enjoying their schedule, friends, and experience at Lindenmere. Campers entering 11th grade can join the LT (Leadership Training) program, which is described as developing future camp leaders within the camp community and at home and includes a multi-overnight LT trip, a big brother/sister program, optional SAT tutoring, and on-the-job counselor training in favorite activity areas, while LT participants still live in a bunk with peers their age.

The camp’s mission statement says that at Camp Lindenmere it is all about camper choice, with campers working with counselors to handpick activities within a structured day that is described as exciting, unique, and fun. Camp Lindenmere is described as Pennsylvania’s best summer camp, a Pennsylvania summer camp for kids and teens with over 50 activities that caters to a wide variety of interests, and as the ultimate destination for a memorable sleepaway summer camp experience that offers an enriching blend of choice, adventure, creativity, and sportsmanship. The program is accredited and identified as ©2025 Camp Lindenmere, all rights reserved.

Testimonials describe Camp Lindenmere as “the best place on Earth” over seven summers, note that one camper “didn’t know how much my life would change,” and state that with the directors, head staff, and counselors, campers “are guaranteed to have the best summer ever.”
