Youth Programs at The Abington Club include activities such as Friday Night Recess, Summer Kids Camp, and Family Swim. Family Swim takes place in the indoor pool and is available to family Membership holders throughout the fall, winter, and spring.

The Abington Club offers year round youth programs and Summer Memberships described as “A staycation for the whole family all summer long.” Flotation devices for children are not provided by The Abington Club. The leadership team includes Chris Curry for Golf & Memberships, Erin Murray as Youth Program Director, and Ale Butler as Event Coordinator.
The Abington Club originated as Old York Road Country Club in 1909, with a 9-hole golf course designed after a 1910 contest won by Mr. Lang, a golf professional from Huntingdon Valley, PA. With additional land leased, an 18-hole golf course opened for play in 1913. In 1962, the original 18 holes were split, and the current 9-hole course developed into the Foxcroft Country Club. In 1979, a group led by Ron Jaworski of the Philadelphia Eagles purchased the lease and created The Abington Club, and new ownership was established in 1984. In 1995, The Abington Club hosted Bob Hope as a guest.
One member described The Abington Club as having “an acceptable adult atmosphere as well as a great family atmosphere.” Another member noted “great indoor and outdoor pools,” poolside service from the on-site bar/restaurant, a full fitness center with showers, and “an overall great community of people.”
