Greater Johnstown Community YMCA Youth Programs include swim safety through the SPLASH program, youth sports programs, and Group Exercise classes. Participants also have access to full-court basketball, racquetball, and indoor walking as part of the program offerings.

• Schedule: Summer hours beginning May 4 are Monday–Friday 5:30 am–8:00 pm, Saturday 7:00 am–4:00 pm, and Sunday 10:00 am–2:00 pm.

The Greater Johnstown Community YMCA started in a small building in downtown Johnstown in 1869 and has over 150 years of service in the Johnstown community. Its mission is to put Christian principles into practice through programs that build a healthy spirit, mind, and body for all. The organization is a 501(C)(3) non-profit organization and focuses on youth development, healthy living, and social responsibility. Across the United States, more than 500,000 people volunteer at the Y, and at the Johnstown Y, volunteers teach swim safety through the SPLASH program, coach Youth Sports Programs, and serve on committees such as the Christian Emphasis Committee, Membership Committee, and Finance Committee.
