Girl Scouts of Eastern Pennsylvania Camps and Programs include access to council shops, mobile PopUp shops, and Trading Posts at both Overnight Camp and Day Camp. Luella the Mobile Van, Build-a-Bear at Shelly Ridge, and Trading Posts at camp sessions are part of the program’s shopping and camp experience. All Girl Scouts of Eastern Pennsylvania properties and buildings, including camps, are smoke-free, vape-free, and tobacco-free.
• Schedule: The Trading Post is open during Sunday drop-off and Friday pick-up hours at Overnight Camp, and campers also visit throughout the week; Day Camp campers visit the Trading Post once during the camp week.
Trading Post Deposits can be purchased on myGS, with 1 credit equivalent to $1.00, and can be used in any Girl Scouts of Eastern Pennsylvania shop or Trading Post at any time, do not expire, and are non-refundable. If a Girl Scouts of Eastern Pennsylvania council event is happening at one of the camp properties, the Trading Post will likely be open, and shopping hours are offered to Service Unit Camporees. Luella the Mobile Van makes stops throughout the Girl Scouts of Eastern Pennsylvania footprint, is outfitted with uniforms, badges, patches, and other items, and hosts PopUps with dates added as they are committed. Troop Leaders and Girl Scouts are encouraged to shop PopUps like any other store or place a pre-order for pickup, and each PopUp features a variety of merchandise that changes regularly, including seasonal items or new Girl Scout merchandise. Build-a-Bear at Shelly Ridge is available for individual appointments for up to three guests during certain shop hours, and Saturdays at Shelly Ridge Shop are reserved for Build-a-Bear parties; a Build-a-Bear Party is available as a troop event or an individual appointment to create a stuffed friend. Council shops can ship orders, and all orders over $100 receive free standard shipping. Smoking any substance, vaping or e-cigarettes, and tobacco use of any kind are not permitted by any person inside or outside any Girl Scouts of Eastern Pennsylvania buildings or anywhere on Girl Scouts of Eastern Pennsylvania properties, and smoking, vaping, and tobacco use in the presence of Girl Scouts is prohibited on and off these properties when acting in a staff or volunteer capacity. All orders from in-person council shops directly benefit Girl Scouts of Eastern Pennsylvania by helping the organization reinvest in girls’ experiences throughout its nine-county footprint.
