Hopwood School & Camp

Hopwood School & Camp offers a year-round indoor and outdoor experience where children sled in the winter, chase butterflies in the spring, swim in the summer, and jump in fall leaf piles. The program takes place on a campus that includes an enclosed play yard of over 2/3 of an acre with an all-weather, 2000 sq. ft. covered play pavilion. Open spaces, trees, and wildlife are part of the setting where children learn, play, explore, and interact.

• Schedule: Open Monday–Friday, 6:30 am–5:30 pm

Hopwood School & Camp was founded as Hopwood Nursery School in 1968 by Ann and Richard Hopwood, with the Hopwood Summer Day Camp added in 1981. The program has been teaching and supporting children in the community since 1968. The Director, Mary Prichard, works with teachers and counselors who are described as dedicated and talented. The school and camp state that services are provided in accordance with applicable Federal and State civil rights laws and regulatory requirements, without regard to race, origin, color, religious creed, handicap, ancestry, national origin, English Language Proficiency, age, or gender. The program notes that 2026 Camp Registration is open.
