Latrobe Art Center Art Classes and Camps

Latrobe Art Center Art Classes and Camps offers classes, workshops, exhibitions, education programs, events, community gatherings, talks, and demonstrations. The program takes place in a facility that includes gallery spaces where visitors can view works of art on display free of charge and an in-house café space called Ricolita's Café.

• Ages: 5–18 years old
• Schedule: Gallery open Monday–Friday 10 a.m.–5 p.m. and Saturday 10 a.m.–3 p.m.; café open Monday–Friday with posted hours between 10 a.m. and 5 p.m.

Latrobe Art Center Art Classes and Camps is part of an organization founded in 2002 by Mrs. Nancy Rogers Crozier and Mrs. Elizabeth Hazlett. Its mission is to create a welcoming environment that encourages and fosters the creativity and artistic development of every individual, and to improve the quality of life in the community by making visual arts accessible through a variety of classes, workshops, and exhibitions, based on the belief that art is for everyone. The leadership team includes Executive Director Michael Tusay, Assistant Director Joe Bellack, Gallery Assistants Marian Grata, Seth Rupert, and Shannon Grace, and a board with officers and members including President Lee Markosky, Vice President Abby Kroh, Treasurer Marty Singer, Secretary Rosanne Bodziak, and several additional board members. The organization has several community outreach programs that work with special populations and other social service organizations and receives community support through volunteers, membership, class fees, donors, and local and state grants, and its downtown presence is described as playing a role in the city’s revitalization program.
