Camp Bent Creek offers a structured day camp schedule that includes golf, tennis, daily recreational swimming in the pool, and a variety of group activities. Campers take part in Arts & Crafts, Group Games, Fun with Foods, Super Science Projects, and STEM Challenges, along with themed events such as Wacky Wednesdays, Thankful Thursdays, and Friday Fundays. The program also includes special camp traditions and theme days such as Hello Camp, Goodbye Camp, Camp Olympics, Sun, Sand, and Shades! (Beach Day), Alex’s Lemonade Stand, Celebrating the Decades!, Club Appreciation Day, Sporty Spirit Day, Lights, Camera, Camp! Camp Bent Creek is for children entering grades 1–6 and is described as a traditional day camp experience in a country club setting. Each day begins with Hello Camp, a morning meeting to review the day’s schedule and sing a camp song, and ends with Goodbye Camp, which includes wrap-up activities, reflections, SMILE Bands, snacks, and farewells. The camp runs as a KE Camps program, which is a portfolio company of Youth Enrichment Brands, LLC, and KE Camps was established in 1999. Camp Director Gabriel leads the program.
The club provides lunch for every camper each day, and the camp is described as “nut aware,” with lunches and snacks served by the club not containing any nuts. If a family prefers to pack lunch, it should be sent in a cooler or backpack. KE Camps requires all campers to wear the official camp shirt each day and to dress in comfortable clothing and tennis shoes. Families are asked to leave electronic devices and cell phones at home, and camp is described as a place to un-plug.
Suggested items to pack in a labeled bag or backpack include extra snacks (optional), a flotation vest for campers classified as a Bogey (non-swimmer) or preferred as such for use in the shallow end of the pool, optional golf clubs, sunscreen (spray for body is preferred), a swimsuit, an optional tennis racquet, a towel, and a water bottle. Golf is offered as two recreational group sessions each week, tennis as two recreational group sessions each week, and campers have recreational swim time in the pool each day. If a family is not a club member, a club member must sponsor the child in order to register for camp.
