Her performance background includes appearances at Carnegie Hall, an international concert tour with the Concerto Soloists of Philadelphia, and performances with The Philly Pops Orchestra, the Saint Louis Symphony, Musica Sacra Chamber Orchestra, Opera Barga in Lucca, Italy, and the Canton Symphony. Program Director and cellist Brooke Beazley holds a Bachelor of Music in Cello Performance from the University of North Carolina School of the Arts, has performed with the North Carolina Symphony, and is a member of Opera Philadelphia and the Philly Pops orchestras, with additional freelance work in several chamber and pops ensembles. Rising Stars Program Director Janet Rawleigh has been teaching instrumental music for over 35 years in public and private schools at multiple levels, has directed the music education program at Lancaster Bible College, served as adjunct faculty at several universities, and conducted both high school and adult ensembles.

Community involvement connected to SWAN’s leaders includes partnerships with organizations such as the Lancaster Symphony Education Committee and Women’s Symphony Board, Music for Everyone, and the Musical Arts Society, and fundraising and community engagement efforts that support access to music and mentoring for students across Lancaster County.
One testimonial describes a student named CJ, who arrived at SWAN carrying deep trauma and often hiding under the piano and withdrawing from others, and later stood on stage performing a drum solo for a cheering audience.
