The Janus School Summer Program includes Language Arts, Math, STEAM, outdoor exploration, arts and crafts, theater, Dungeons & Dragons, and a speech therapy-based group program that uses guided, play-based, and interactive activities. The day is divided into a Morning Academic Program and an Afternoon Session, and students participating in both can bring their lunch to eat in the cafeteria or on the outdoor patio. Students are grouped according to age and ability, with multi-age group activities included, and classes are small with an average student-to-teacher ratio of 4 to 1 and an average class size of 6.2 students.

• Schedule: June 22 – July 24, 2026, with options Monday–Friday between 8:30AM and 3:30PM
• Price: Morning Academic Program: $1,550. Afternoon Session: $1,200.
The Janus School Summer Program offers extended school year programming for students in Grades 1–12, with the option to choose the morning program, afternoon program, or both. One-to-one tutorials, diagnostic testing, and a final report are available for students not previously enrolled at The Janus School for the 2025–2026 academic year or previous Summer Programs. The CONNECT program is a speech therapy-based group program that focuses on communication, social interaction, and executive functioning skills. The Janus School uses a clinical, diagnostic, and research-based approach to teaching students with learning differences and uses certification in the All Kinds of Minds neurodevelopmental program and model to shape and inform its work with students. Bus service is provided from Harrisburg, Reading, York, Lebanon/Hershey, and the Mount Joy Amtrak station, and students may arrive as early as 8:00AM, with no programs held on July 3, 2026.
The Janus School was founded in 1991, marked its 30th year in 2021, and moved into its current building in 1997 after purchasing land and later renovating and expanding the building in 2009. The school is the only school dedicated to educating students with learning differences in south-central Pennsylvania and is dually accredited by the Middle States Association (MSA) and the Pennsylvania Association of Independent Schools (PAIS). It is also a member of NAIS, PAIS, ADVIS, IDA, LDA, and PIAA. The mission of The Janus School is to empower students who learn differently to become lifelong learners and problem solvers by giving them the skills, strategies, and confidence to achieve academic and personal success. Leadership for admissions includes Jessica Steinman, Director of Admissions. One parent, Christine, shared that her child is focused on going to college and that The Janus School has shown him that, with his learning differences, he is able to achieve that goal and has given him the belief in himself to be excited for the future.
