About
Elmwood Park Zoo Camps include activities such as crafts, science exploration, ambassador animal greets, behind-the-scenes tours, giraffe feeds, zoo walks, meeting barn animal friends, and up-close animal encounters. Campers take part in hands-on activities like themed crafts, keeper chats, designing exhibits, creating enrichment, and learning about animal diet and animal training. Each camp session is one week long.
• Ages: 3–12 years old

At Zoo Camp, the stated goal is to create a safe, enjoyable, and enriching experience for all campers. Aides are welcome to join campers onsite after submitting PA Background and Child Abuse clearances, and campers must be able to manage their personal needs, such as using the bathroom independently. The program has a behavioral policy that includes take-home reports and potential dismissal based on the severity and continuation of behavioral issues, and purchases made during holiday sales in December 2025 and School’s Out Day Camps are excluded from refunds.
