About
Olyphant Early Learning Center offers Infant, Young Toddler, Older Toddler, Preschool 1, and Preschool 2 programs in a structured early learning setting. • Ages: 6 weeks–5 years old
• Schedule: Sessions run in weekly blocks between 07/06/26 and 01/01/27 for Infants, Young Toddlers, Older Toddlers, Preschool 1, and Preschool 2, with listed date ranges such as 07/06/26–07/10/26 and continuing through 12/28/26–01/01/27; full and part-time options are available for Young Toddlers, Older Toddlers, Preschool 1, and Preschool 2.

The Infant program is for babies ages 6 weeks through 12 months, with a class size capped at 8 infants and a 1:4 ratio. The Young Toddler program is for children ages 12–24 months, with a class size capped at 10 children and a 1:5 ratio, and Young Toddlers must be mobile (crawling or walking). The Older Toddler program is for children ages 24–36 months, with a class size capped at 12 children and a 1:6 ratio. Preschool 1 is for children ages 3–4 years old, with a class size capped at 20 children and a 1:10 ratio. Preschool 2 is for children ages 4–5 years old who are preparing to enter kindergarten, with a class size capped at 20 children and a 1:10 ratio.
The program’s mission is to put Christian principles into practice through programs that build a healthy spirit, mind and body for all. The leadership team includes Tressa Capoccia, who is listed as Senior Director of Education and Senior Education Director. Scholarship funding is provided by individual and corporate donors, foundations, and the United Way of Lackawanna, Wayne & Pike, and the Greater Scranton YMCA is a partner agency of this United Way and a partner with Special Olympics Pennsylvania. There is a 2026–2027 Child Care Enrollment Packet and a Spanish version titled “Paquete de inscripción 2026–2027, Centro de Aprendizaje Temprano.”
