Charles Chrin Community Center Youth Programs

Charles Chrin Community Center Youth Programs include activities such as Tumble Classes, Children Classes, Dance Classes, Panther Soccer, Teen Fitness Classes, Volleyball Hitting Clinic, Basketball, and an Aftercare program. The programs also connect with other offerings at the center, including the CCCC After School Club, Camp, Birthday Parties, and use of the Pool and Parks.

• Schedule: Palmer Pool passes are sold at the Charles Chrin Community Center Monday–Friday from 9:00am–4:00pm and Saturdays and Sundays from 8:00am–1:00pm, and various events and classes are scheduled on specific dates and times throughout the year.

Palmer Township’s stated goal is to provide its citizens with a safe environment for activities within their public parks. For the 2020 summer season, Palmer Pool was limited to Palmer residents with memberships only, with no day passes, swim lessons, or pool party rentals offered. During that season, the Palmer Township Community Pool operated on a reduced schedule from Wednesday through Sunday, 12:00 noon to 6:00 pm, after reopening on Saturday, July 25, 2020, following a closure through Friday, July 24, 2020. Shannon Hogan is listed as the Pool Manager.

Palmer Township reviewed and denied a request for a political gathering in Fairview Park in line with Palmer Township Parks and Recreation Rules, Regulations, and Policies and statewide orders issued by Governor Tom Wolf related to COVID-19 mitigation. Pool invoices for the 2023 and 2024 pool seasons were emailed to past season pass holders, who were asked to return the renewal, waiver, and payment to the Charles Chrin Community Center, with checks made out to Palmer Township, so passes could be reactivated. Full and half day options are available for summer programs at the Community Center.
