Boys & Girls Clubs of Western Pennsylvania – Youth Programs offers activities in STEM and STEAM, sports, and arts. The program includes preschool, before- and after-school care, summer camp, teen mentoring, workforce development, meals, and access to mentors.

The organization was founded in 1888 and is one of the largest out-of-school-time providers in the region. Its programs span preschool, before- and after-school care, summer camp, teen mentoring, workforce development, STEAM, and sports, and are guided by core values of safety, fun, and inclusion. Boys & Girls Clubs of Western Pennsylvania serves over 10,500 youth annually across Allegheny and Somerset Counties and operates in 11 locations, including stand-alone clubhouses, school-based clubhouses, teen centers, and the TOP Program. The mission of Boys & Girls Clubs of Western Pennsylvania is to do whatever it takes to help all young people, especially those who need them most, reach their full potential and grow into caring, responsible, and empowered citizens. Staff and volunteers have Mandated Reporter Training, professional certifications from Boys & Girls Clubs of America, First Aid/CPR-trained full-time staff, FBI Fingerprint Criminal History Clearance, and Act 33/34 (Child Abuse and Criminal Record) clearances. The organization states, “Our responsibility is to respond to the need. That’s what we’ve always done for our kids, for our communities. That’s what we will continue to do every day.” The leadership team includes President & CEO Chris Watts and Chief Operating Officer Lindsey Ramsey, along with additional executives, managers, and board members such as Chief Financial Officer Keith Gardner, Vice President, Programs Kara Petrosky, Vice President, Advancement Zoia DiMillo, and Board Chair Peter St. Tienne Wolff.
