Pittsburgh Cultural Trust Arts Education

Pittsburgh Cultural Trust Arts Education offers performances, workshops, classes, and other arts programs. The program includes immersive experiences available to audiences of all ages and backgrounds in theaters, galleries, and public art environments.

Since 1984, the Pittsburgh Cultural Trust has worked on the cultural and economic development of the Cultural District, a 14-square-block area of downtown Pittsburgh. The Pittsburgh Cultural Trust's Arts Education Department states that it offers opportunities for educators, students, and community members for personal and professional growth through performances, workshops, classes, and other programs that nurture appreciation and understanding through the arts. Local arts organizations collaborate with the Pittsburgh Cultural Trust to build a stronger cultural community through partnerships. The organization manages more than one million square feet of real estate in the Cultural District, which is noted as a nationwide model for how the arts can play a role in urban revitalization. The Pittsburgh Post-Gazette has lauded the Pittsburgh Cultural Trust as “the single greatest creative force in Pittsburgh because of its spirit of reinvention.”
