The Pittston Playground Program is an 8-week summer program that features themed weeks such as Sports Week, Superhero Week, Red, White & Blue Week, Safari Week, Wild Wild West Week, Pirates and Mermaids Week, Disney Week, and Carnival Week. It is designed to get children out of the house and actively participating in safe, inclusive, and supportive activities, with dedicated staff committed to providing a positive environment where children will learn new skills, have fun, and make new friends.
• Ages: 6–12 years old
• Schedule: 8-week program running June 22–August 14, 2026, with sessions Monday–Friday, 9:00 AM–12:00 PM
• Price: $30/Child per Week (Each Child must be registered separately + payment must be received at time of form submission for child to be registered)
The Pittston Playground Program is organized under the Downtown Pittston Partnership, a non-profit organization dedicated to the revitalization of Downtown Pittston through activities, programs, and aesthetic enhancements that benefit local businesses, residents, and visitors. The program is led by Main Street Manager Mary Kroptavich and Main Street Coordinator Cara Wengen. As Main Street Manager, Mary Kroptavich has been recognized statewide for her innovative creation and execution of the City's Shop with a Cop program.
