North Penn YMCA Summer Camps are part of an organization that has been established since 1955 and has been a summer camp destination for Montgomery County families for decades. The camps are operated by the North Penn YMCA leadership team, which includes Chief Executive Officer Bob Gallagher, Chief Financial Officer Nancie DeCoursey, Chief Operating Officer Sangeeta Kharbanda, and several branch and program directors such as Diane Greve at the Harleysville Early Childhood Center and Chelse Burton at the Indian Valley branch. The organization’s mission is to make the community it serves a better place to live by enriching and strengthening families, providing supervised recreation, offering learning, leadership and character development opportunities, and promoting wellness for all people, regardless of ability to pay.

North Penn YMCA notes that no one is turned away because of an inability to pay. In 2024, the organization provided over $780,000 worth of charitable services benefiting more than 8,800 individuals. It is an Equal Opportunity Employer and Child Care Provider. The North Penn YMCA also provides programs and services for children, teens, seniors, families, and those with special needs in the North Penn, Indian Valley, and Perkiomen Valley communities, and offers on-site childcare at schools in two local school districts along with outreach programs in multiple locations.

For registration, each week of North Penn YMCA Summer Camps requires a $25 per week non-refundable deposit. A North Penn YMCA membership is required and can be part of a family membership or set up as a youth program membership for $50. Families can register online by using the member log-in for the child’s membership and then printing and mailing or dropping off the required paperwork to their branch, or they can register at the branch by printing the camp registration forms, completing the summer camp registration packet, and dropping it off at their North Penn YMCA branch.
