FUGE Camps (Centrifuge & MFuge at Eastern University)

FUGE Camps (Centrifuge & MFuge at Eastern University) includes activities such as basketball, games, recreation, arts and crafts, painting, and creative track times. Students also take part in worship, Bible study, church group time, and track times that can include options like sign language. During MFuge, students may serve through activities such as construction, yardwork, and working with food banks.

FUGE Camps uses curriculum that is theologically reviewed, biblical, and age-appropriate for students, and staff lead students through this curriculum using a guided-discovery method that emphasizes discussion and application over lecture-style study. At Centrifuge, track times give students the chance to explore hobbies and passions through a variety of activities, while MFuge gives students the chance to serve in areas they choose. The program emphasizes daily spiritual themes so that worship, recreation, track times, and serving at MFuge all connect back to the gospel.

Centrifuge is described as an exciting camp where students participate in adventure recreation and group-building activities. MFuge is described as a mission experience that focuses on serving and on learning to live life each day on mission. FUGE Camps provides program, meals, lodging, and activities so that church leaders can focus on building relationships with their students.

Centrifuge began in 1979 as a youth summer camp for students who had completed 6th–12th grade, and MFuge was added in 1995. Since then, almost two million people have attended FUGE Camps, and Eastern University has hosted FUGE since 1999.
