Uniontown Area YMCA Youth Activities and Summer Day Camp includes youth sports and activities, a Summer Day Camp, Child Watch, and a variety of fitness and aquatics options. Children and families can take part in swim lessons, the Uniontown YMCA Swim Team, aquatic fitness classes such as water walking and aqua aerobics, and pool-based parties. The program also offers group exercise classes, indoor cycling, personal training, pickle ball, senior programs, lifeguard training, First Aid and CPR courses, and themed pool, sports, and combo parties.

• Price: Child Watch: Potential members pay $5.00 per hour. Pool Party: Member $225 / Potential Member-Community $250. Sports Party: Member $175 / Potential Member-Community $200. Combo Party: Member $200 / Potential Member-Community $225.

Summer Day Camp includes daily meals, swimming, field trips, weekly themes, and outdoor activities. Child Watch is a video-monitored area where parents can drop off their children while they use the facility, and it is free for member parents and guardians of member children. Pool Parties use a designated section of the pool for up to 20 children, and children under 45 inches tall must be accompanied by an adult in the pool. Sports Parties use half of the indoor gymnasium for basketball, soccer, or baseball for up to 25 children, with some equipment provided and the option for participants to bring their own. Combo Parties include 30 minutes in the pool followed by 30 minutes in half of the gymnasium for sports for up to 20 children.

Group exercise classes are led by certified instructors and are open to members of all fitness levels. Indoor cycling classes take place in an indoor cycling studio, and riders can adjust intensity to match their personal goals and comfort level under the guidance of enthusiastic instructors. Aquatic fitness classes, including water walking and aqua aerobics, are low-impact and open to participants of all ages and fitness levels, and are led by energetic instructors. Swim lessons are led by experienced instructors, and the Uniontown YMCA Swim Team focuses on competitive swimming skills, confidence, discipline, teamwork, sportsmanship, and healthy competition. Lifeguard training prepares participants for emergency situations and professional lifeguarding responsibilities and provides certification training, while First Aid and CPR courses are taught by certified instructors and provide lifesaving skills for emergencies.

Senior programs include wellness activities, fitness classes, educational opportunities, and social programs, and Silver Sneakers is one of the offerings. Pickle ball is presented as a way to improve coordination, fitness, and community involvement while playing the game. The mission of Uniontown Area YMCA youth sports and activities is to give all children the opportunity to learn, play, and fall in love with sports and being active.
