Whispering Springs Horse Farm offers professionally guided horseback trail rides, horseback riding lessons, and both private and semi-private western riding lessons. The program also offers photo shoots with rented horses, birthday parties that include horseback riding and games, and horse boarding. Youth and adults can volunteer as farm hands, help with lesson programs by leading horses and walking beside riders during classes, assist with horse care, support special events such as Trick or Treating, and help with general facility and barn maintenance, including fencing.

• Schedule: Open Tuesday–Sunday with rides available from 11:00am to dusk, operating year-round on weekdays and weekends, weather permitting
• Price: A deposit of $15 per rider is required and payment is due upon arrival.
April and Darrin purchased Whispering Springs Horse Farm in 1997 and own and operate the program. They have a combined total of 45 years of experience with horses, including AQHA, IAHA, NRHA, NCHA, local and open shows, training horses, leasing, and providing lessons. Whispering Springs holds special events each year, including Trick or Treating, and volunteers can assist with planning these events. Helmets are required for minors under 18 years old and recommended for adults, and helmets are provided by the farm. Recommended clothing for riding includes long pants and shoes with a short heel, and sandals, open-toed shoes, extra thick or large boots, and dress shoes are not accepted for safety reasons. Riders are asked to arrive 15–20 minutes early to check in, and trail rides are limited to walking only, with a minimum age of 9 years old for a child to ride on their own horse. Volunteers do not need prior horse experience but are asked to commit to a specified, consistent period of time each week.
