About
Newport County YMCA Summer Camp offers several week-based programs, including Curious Minds Camp with STEAM and reading activities, Traditional Camp with sports, arts and crafts, archery, adventure courses, swimming, social and emotional learning, and character development, Aquatics Camp with water sports and Jr. Aquatics Camp, Gymnastics Camp with JR Gymnastics Camp and Gymnastics Camp, Ninja Camp with Lil Ninjas and NinjaZone Camp, Outdoor Adventure with rock climbing, ropes courses, team building, nature walks, beach trips, hikes, swimming, and archery, and Sports Camp with a weekly featured sport that changes. Counselor in Training is a hands-on leadership program for teens entering 8th and 9th grade.

- Educational Camp: Curious Minds Camp — children · $270–$320 per week · STEAM and reading-focused camp; offered weeks 3-9.
- Traditional Camp — 5-13 years old · $255–$305 per week · Includes sports, arts & crafts, archery, adventure courses, swimming, social & emotional learning, and character development; offered weeks 1-11.
- Aquatics Camp — 6-13 years old · $280–$330 per week · Water sports and Jr. Aquatics Camp; offered weeks 2-10.
- Gymnastics Camp — 5-12 years old · $280–$330 per week · JR Gymnastics Camp 5-7 years old; Gymnastics Camp 8-12 years old; offered weeks 2-10.
- Ninja Camp — 5-12 years old · $295–$345 per week · Lil Ninjas ages 5-7; NinjaZone Camp 8-12 years old; offered weeks 2-10.
- Outdoor Adventure — 8-13 yrs old · $280–$330 per week · Rock climbing, ropes courses, team building, nature walks, beach trips, hikes, swimming, and archery; offered weeks 2-10.
- Sports Camp — 8-13 yrs old · $280–$330 per week · Weekly featured sport changes; offered weeks 2-10.
- Counselor in Training — 14 & 15 yrs old · $140–$165 per week · Hands-on leadership program for teens entering 8th and 9th grade; offered weeks 1-10.

About the provider
The camp is led by Katie Bresko, Camp & Recreation Director, and Orlando Peace, Y Community Golf Director. It is proudly accredited by the American Camp Association, and its mission statement says, "We create cherished memories, lifelong friendships, and personal growth opportunities."
Programs are offered to YMCA members at special reduced rates. Short-term members will not receive membership benefits for program registration; participants must remain members for the duration of the program to receive full benefits. Aquatics campers must be strong swimmers and pass a pre-camp swim test before registering. All candidates for Counselor in Training must be accepted prior to registration.
