About

Children’s Programs at the Columbia Museum of Art include the kindergarten readiness program Gladys’ Gang and free community programs. These programs take place as part of the broader offerings at the museum, which also include Multisensory Tours, Accessible Yoga, and special events such as the Day of the Dead Festival, FAAAC Presents A Storytelling Celebration, DesignHER, and More Than Rhythm: A Black Music Series. Free Summer at the CMA offers all residents of South Carolina free general admission to the museum from Memorial Day to Labor Day from May 2024 through August 2026 through the support of Art Bridges Foundation’s Access for All program.

• Price: Admission $15 or less. Free for members.

The Columbia Museum of Art celebrated 75 years in 2025. Its mission is to spark powerful connections through art from around the corner and around the world in an environment that is welcoming to all. The museum is accredited by the American Alliance of Museums, received a National Medal from the Institute of Museum and Library Services, and won the 2026 South Carolina Governor's Award for the Arts for Accessibility. Many community partners support and sponsor events at the museum, including partnerships for the Our Story Matters Gallery, the Day of the Dead Festival, and the Mini Kiki Ball: The Kickstart.
